Hi am Eben,a student.For years now, I have been studying how electronics work.when I started as a beginner,I came to know that Capacitors,Transistors,Resistors,inductors,Diodes and many more are the main components used for making electronics.After that I thought of how I was going to use components.With the help of the internet,I came to know that in order for these components to work,I need to make a circuit first.
An electronic circuit is composed of individual electronic components such as resistors,transistors,capacitors,inductors and diodes,connected by conductive wires through which electric current can flow. A circuit can be constructed with many electronic components connected by individual piece of wire.Breadboard,Perf boards and Sripboard are common for making electronic circuit boards
Now let’s take a look at the meaning of some of the various components to make a circuit
TRANSISTORS
Transistors are semiconductors used to amplify or switch electronic signals and electrical power.It is made up of semiconductors mostly with at least three terminals.When current passes through one pair of a transistor terminals,it controls the current in another pair of terminal.Because the output power can be higher than the controlling power,a transistor can amplify signals. Thus when you input a small power,it can give you a large power. There are many types of transistors and each of these transistors have different uses
CAPACITORS
A capacitor is a two terminal device that stores electrical power for a short period of time.A capacitor can work as a battery but stores electrical power for a short period of time.A capacitor is a component designed to add capacitance to a circuit. RESISTORS
Resistor is a device usually made of wire or carbon which present a resistance to current flow.Resistance is the property of materials to resist the flow of electricity,and it is governed by ohms law.
Let’s make a simple experiment with these three components
Amplifier using 13003 transistor
13003 transistors are found in electrical bulbs in our homes and workplaces.Just find a bulb,open it and remove the transistor.
Things needed
1=13003 transistor
2=capacitor 10v,220uf ×2
Hu3=resistor 10k ×2
